- Live map. Your lake, with every marina and every open report on it.
- Marinas. Search by name, sorted nearest first, filterable to open now.
- Hazard reports. Stump, shoal, deadhead, debris, no-wake — dropped by boaters, aging and fading until somebody says gone.

Every marina, nearest first.
The Marinas tab lists every marina on your lake, closest one first, each row showing how far off it is, whether it is open right now, and the first few things it has — fuel, pump-out, a ship store, transient slips. Search it by name, or tap Open now to drop everything that is closed, so you are not scrolling past five shut docks to find the one still selling gas at six in the morning.
Two taps. Nothing to type.
Tap the report button, tap what you saw, and you are done — a hazard, a police boat, an accident, a no-wake violation, rough water, a closure, a fuel price, a bad map pin, or the one-tap row for towing or people in the water. BoatTender drops the pin at your own position and starts a short countdown before it posts, so you never have to type anything while you are underway.
Reports that fade.
A boater sees a stump, a shoal, a deadhead, floating debris, a spot nobody should wake through — taps the report button, picks what it is, and drops a pin at their own position. The card that opens says how long ago it went in and, in plain words, how sure BoatTender still is that it is there. Anyone who passes can mark it still there or gone, which moves that confidence. Nothing confirms the report is still accurate; it just fades on its own until enough boaters say otherwise, or the clock runs it out.
BoatTender will not route you and will not tell you when you will get there. It is not a chartplotter.
Every marina, one tap.
Tap a marina, on the map or in the list, and get the sheet: today’s hours, how far off it is and which way, Call and Site buttons that actually dial and open, and a grid of what it has — fuel, pump-out, a ship store, transient slips. You can opt in to hear about deals from that marina specifically, so the only alerts you get are from docks you actually chose.
See only what you need.
The map opens showing everything: boaters, hazard reports, marinas, saved places, watersports areas. Tap the layers button and turn any of those off. Running a no-wake zone, drop everything but reports and boaters. Hunting for fuel, drop everything but marinas. It is the same map underneath — you are just choosing what it shows you right now.
Your coves, your names.
Save the coves, creeks and sandbars you actually use, under whatever names you call them — nobody else has to agree. Keep a spot to yourself, or send it up for community review so other boaters can find it too. Each saved place shows who can see it, so a private anchorage stays private until you decide otherwise.
Set your home port.
Pick the marina you actually leave from and BoatTender uses it as your starting point: distance and bearing on every other marina and report are measured from there when you are not out on the water. The picker lists marinas near your position first, and you can search it by name if yours is farther out.
